Demon Encounter (逢魔之时/逢魔が時) is a mechanism to participate in cross-server boss challenges. It is unlocked at player level 15. Players can encounter "Solo Events" and "Shared Events".
Introduction[]
At dusk, when the night swallows day and the human world meets the Underworld, when spirits and demons escape into the world above and unlucky humans may be dragged down into the Underworld, we begin the Demon Encounter.
Demon Encounter is open from 17:00-23:00 (CN/TW), 18:00-23:00 (JP) and from 6:00-9:00/19:00-23:00 (GL). Players can engage in exploration and battles. There are a variety of Solo Events and a chance to encounter Shared Events such as Assembly Bosses. Exploration is done via the torii gate button. Each player has 4 exploration attempts per day. Great Exploration Rewards will be granted after all 4 attempts are used. On the first day of joining a Guild, Guild Medals will not be granted as exploration rewards.

No more new events can be found in the last hour of Demon Encounter, however, ones already found can still be challenged.
Demon Encounter closes at 9:00 (GL), 23:00 (CN/TW/GL) and 24:00 (JP).
Solo Events[]
Demon Seal[]
A shikigami appears and they can be challenged to give shikigami shards, like regular Demon Seals, but there is a wider variety of shikigami that can appear (including SSRs).

Mystery Realms[]
A random player's realm defense must be challenged to receive the rewards. Only one attempt is allowed to challenge the realm. Rewards are also given regardless of a win or loss.
Mystery Missions[]
Slips of paper appear and a mission must be done to receive the rewards. Missions can be any one of the following:
- Clear a Soul Zone 3 times.
- Clear an Explore Zone 1 time.
- Summon 1 time with a Mystery/Jade/AR Amulet.
- Do Demon Parade 1 time.

Shared events are team Assembly Bosses that requires the collaboration of many players. There are 2 types of Assembly Bosses: Shikigami Bosses and Rare Boss. Assembly Bosses will be shared on the map for players nearby to challenge. Players can also invite friends or Guildmates that are not nearby to join.
Players can see the battle against an Assembly Boss unfold and fight alongside other players. Each player can challenge up to 1 Rare Boss and up to 1 Shikigami Boss per day. Challenging a boss that players discovered themselves does not consume a daily attempt. Defeated players can continue to challenge the same Assembly Boss, but must wait 60 seconds before challenging them again. Players can chat with other players fighting the same Assembly Boss in the Team chat channel.
Shikigami Bosses[]
Shikigami Bosses are available to all nearby players in the local server. A boss can only be challenged within 30 minutes of being discovered before it escapes.
There are two types of rewards Shikigami Bosses: Gold and Victory. Gold rewards depend on the damage dealt to the boss and is capped at 20k. Victory rewards are given if the boss is defeated in time and at least 10k DMG is dealt, players who discover bosses receive extra shikigami shards for victory rewards. All rewards are sent via in-game mail.

Rare Bosses & Ultra Versions[]

Rare Bosses are available to all nearby players across the entire server. Bosses are Tsuchigumo, Oboroguruma, Gashadokuro (Odokuro), Jishin Namazu, Shinkirou and Kiryou Utahime (Ghostly Songstress). They take turns being the Rare Boss of Demon Encounter, changing each day.
Players with the required Achievement Marks can search for and challenge Ultra Bosses. Each player can choose to challenge either a Rare Boss or an Ultra Boss. Ultra Bosses grants better Ranking Rewards than Rare Bosses.
